What the "Climategate" E-mails Don’t Say

by Laurence Hecht of 21st Century Science and Technology, Washington D.C.

The little secret of the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit e-mails is that there is no “global warming.”

A point of greater significance lies outside them.

The 90 megabytes of e-mail and data files provide evidence that leading figures at East Anglia were covering up or massaging data that disputed global warming, particularly, land surface temperature records, and the evidence of a period of warming temperature well before the industrial era, known as the medieval warm period.

What had them upset was that the slight upward spike in surface temperatures over approximately two decades preceding 1998 has disappeared from the land surface records, and for the past approximately eight years there has been a cooling trend that has largely eliminated the previously alleged 0.6°C increase in the “global averaged temperature,” over the previous century.

Highly influential figures in Britain have denounced the exposed hoax, some in scathing terms. Lord Nigel Lawson of Blaby, Chancellor of the Exchequer for six years under the Thatcher government, called for a formal inquest, and announced the formation of a new climate advisory group. Lord Christopher Monckton, Britain’s leading spokesman against the global warming fraud, called leading figures at East Anglia “criminals” and “arrogant fraudsters,” and suggested they will soon be prosecuted for procurement of data destruction.

Yet, the far more serious crime, is that “global warming” is a fraud, whose real intent is to promote a genocide worse than Hitler’s.

Since its first promotion in 1975, the claim has been that carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from industry will warm the planet, melt the ice caps, and fry or drown us all.

Therefore, human beings will have to do without.

There never was scientific proof, and the argument went against all competent understanding of climate science—that it is the Sun and the variations of the Earth-Sun orbital relationship which are the principal determinants of climate variability.
The explicit intent in promoting the fraud and other anti-science hoaxes has been to halt the development of scientific and technological progress, to drastically reduce world population, perhaps to the level below 2 billion persons that the World Wildlife Fund’s Prince Philip has proposed as desirable.

CO2 is an airborne fertilizer not a pollutant

Letter by Mohd Peter Davis sent to New Straits Times, Malaysia on
28th September 2009 but not published.

The claim by the international environmental movement that extra carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air caused by mankind’s industrialization is a dangerous pollutant threatening life on earth has no scientific basis.

It is an outright lie pushed by a privileged elite to frighten and control the population. It is an old trick practiced by Empires despite abundant scientific evidence to the contrary.

The ancient Greeks 3000 years ago proved by survey experiments between far apart cities that the earth was round and estimated its circumference with amazing accuracy.

Yet the British Empire spread the lie that the earth was flat. Indeed, the convicts sent by ships to colonise Australia were terrified they were being sent to their death and would fall off the edge of the earth.

The same British Empire, helmed today by the obscenely wealthy Prince Philip is terrifying the world’s school kids and the gullible with global warming.

Ships falling off at the edge of the Earth

Under the pretense of saving mother earth and its species, his World Wildlife Fund is desperately attempting at the December 2009 Copenhagen Conference to convince nations to give up so called carbon dioxide polluting industrialization.

    The message has become fanatical.

Go back to the very low population levels of feudalism, before modern agriculture, electricity and advanced medicines and backwards to organic farming, windmills and the Black Death.

In 1961 Prince Philip donated 10,000 British pounds to help establish the World Wildlife Fund. To this day he is the iconic leader of the international green environmental movement

with the Tiger killed by her husband Prince Philip, (far left)

A growing army of scientists have had enough of Prince Philip’s genocide agenda and are reporting experimental evidence in their easy to understand websites that bypass the controlled media.

A retired American oil executive and climate skeptic, H.Leighton Steward has recently set up his website reporting decades of scientific work which demonstrates the positive effects of CO2 on the biosphere, which has been completely ignored in the current debate over manmade global warming.

    H. Leighton Steward

Rather than being a pollutant, results of 749 growth response studies to an additional 300ppm CO2 showed tremendous increases in plant growth; 33% in fruits, 36% in grains, 46% in vegetables and 71% in trees (see http://www.plantsneedco2.org/).

As Steward points out, school children who conduct this simple type of experiment themselves and measure the improvement in plant growth can never be persuaded that CO2 is a pollutant.

Malaysians can readily relate to these findings which are the natural basis of our rubber and palm oil industries.

Our greenhouse environment and naturally high CO2 levels caused by rotting rainforest vegetation supports a 10 fold higher rate of photosynthesis and biomass production than temperate environments.

A palm oil plantation in Malaysia

We have recently taken milk and meat production in Malaysia to a far higher level and already at this early stage in its commercial development produces three times more per hectare of land than the world best dairy and sheep farms in New Zealand.

Rubber put Malaya on the world map and palm oil generated twice the revenue per hectare creating the wealth for Malaysia to urbanise and industrialise.

Now Malaysia’s revolutionary Deep Tropical agricultural invention can leapfrog palm oil to produce 10 times more income per hectare, propelling a high wage fully developed Malaysian economy to 2020 and beyond.

The 100 per cent Malaysian invention, based on carbon dioxide as ‘the earth’s greatest airborne fertilizer’, is a breakthrough in world food production and shows developing countries how to produce emergency food and gain self-sufficiency, ending feudal poverty.

It is reported in an 8 page illustrated article on the website http://www.21stcenturysciencetech.com/. Photos and economic slideshows are posted on my Biosphere Technology website www.mohdpeterdavis.com.

Now we are preparing the entrepreneurial strategy for Malaysia to become self sufficient in food for the first time in its history and for Sabah and Sarawak to become a major world exporter of top quality milk, dairy products and prime lamb.

It is time for Malaysians to reject the CO2 lies and for the Economic Planning Unit to adopt the exciting wealth and jobs creating potential of Malaysia’s new high tech food industries.

Prince Philip wants to go back to 3 Million in British Isles

LONDON — Prince Philip has taken a pot shot at supermarkets and second-home owners who he says are threatening the traditional village, in remarks published Wednesday.

In an interview with Shooting Times magazine, the notoriously straight-talking Duke of Edinburgh also blasted industrial farming methods, which produced cows with horns like a "hat-rack with an udder attached."

They also created the "bizarre" situation in which a bottle of milk costs less than a bottle of water, he said.

The 88-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II -- who has official residences in London, Windsor and Scotland as well as a vast portfolio of property -- lamented the demise of the quintessential English village.

"Villages used to have to be more or less self sufficient: they had a butcher, a baker, a shoemaker," he said. "Now that has all gone because of the way retailing is concentrated in big centres and multi-stores."

He complained that the huge increase in holiday home ownership, fuelled by a decade-long property and economic boom, at least until last year's global financial crisis, had changed the make-up of communities around the country.

"There has been a complete change in the population of the countryside," he added, quoted by the Daily Telegraph newspaper.

"The country villages have changed from the sense of being places where people who were associated with the countryside were living and now most of them are second homes occupied by commuters," he added.

Lamenting industrial agricultural methods, notably in dairy farming, he said: "They are constantly trying to produce cattle that will produce more milk and less cow -- like a hat-rack with an udder attached."

"They can?t really go on making such a travesty of an animal, there must be a limit to this. Even more ridiculous is the fact that milk is actually cheaper than bottled water.
It seems quite bizarre to me."

Wading into the highly contentious issue of climate change, he stressed the impact of population increase on the production of greenhouse gases.

"People go on about this carbon footprint, but they fail to realise that the amount of carbon going into the atmosphere is entirely dependent on the number of people living on the earth," he said.

"There are now 60 million people living in this country and we are about the same land size as New Zealand -- this country had three million people in Elizabeth I's day" back in the 16th century, he added.

    Beware of Green Technology Scam

This letter was sent to Letters to the Editors section of the New Straits Times (NST) on 28th April 2009. NST would not publish it.

Yes we can. The time has come. A “Think Green” article is now promoting commercial solar powered housing, a government initiative launched in 2005 to generate electricity at home. (Property, New Straits Times, April 17)

Great, free electricity at last, a dream come true! What happens when the sun gets hidden behind cloud or during the night? No worries; the solar panels are connected to the electricity grid and you can withdraw electricity from the national grid at anytime and pay for it by selling your surplus solar generated electricity on sunny days. So you gain free electricity and much more. You now have bragging rights that you are saving electricity every day of the year not merely one hour per year during Earth Hour. You think big. What if my neighbours did this; what if we all did this? Malaysia could make an international statement against global warming.

Suddenly you are struck by doubt. This is too good to be true. You are not wrong. The cost of installing a Photo Voltaic (PV) system on your roof to generate electricity has to be added to the cost of a new or existing house. Quoting the government scheme, the newspaper article goes straight to the bottom line.

A 10kwp PV system can cost its owner between RM250,000 and RM270,000. A system of this size produces 920 kwh per month, enough to power about 10 air-conditioners (with one horsepower running for about six hours daily)

This amount of electricity can completely run a terrace house with full air-conditioning. For example, a terrace house might normally consume around 500kwh of electricity per month costing RM143 per month for lights, fans, fridge and appliances. To keep the terrace house acceptably cool in Malaysia’s hot climate will require three 1HP air cons, one in each bedroom, plus a 2HP air con in the living/dining area costing a claimed additional RM182 in electricity to run them for 6 hours daily. So the total expected electricity cost with whole house air-conditioning in this example is RM325 per month. How long does to take to pay back the original RM260,000 investment in a rooftop PV system in saved electricity?

The answer is 800 months or nearly 67 years, so you might need that frugal vegetarian diet that gets you to 100. You will definitely need to be a good saver. The solar panels in your rooftop PV system are delicate and will need replacing every 10 years or less at a conservative cost, let us say, of RM100,000. Despite intensive international research and massive government subsidies since the 1973 oil crisis to make them cheaper, solar panels are still exceptionally expensive. So you need to save at least RM833 per month for the rest of your life, even as a pensioner, to cover the solar panel replacement cost.

You reassure yourself that your solar powered home will save dwindling fossil fuels like gas and coal. Yes, but not very much. Electricity cannot be stored, that is its great limitation. The coal and gas power plants will still be needed to supply electricity at night and when clouds block the sun

However, the cruelest blow is yet to come. You are prepared to sacrifice everything to support the global warming campaign by producing electricity at home. Now you hear the whisper that rooftop PV systems might not actually save any electricity at all once the overall electricity required for mining, manufacturing and installation and regular replacement and disposal of the old solar panels is taken into account. You desperately ask the engineers at the new Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water to investigate this outrageous claim that makes a mockery of green technology, and your wallet.

Is it true that nuclear energy can completely replace fossil fuels and produce not only electricity but drinkable water from seawater and hydrogen fuel from fresh water? Can it be true that a pair of 4th generation ‘inherently safe’ nuclear power plants the size of passenger planes on 100 hectares of land can supply uninterrupted very cheap electricity to Kuala Lumpur and the whole of the Klang Valley for the next 40 years? And is it possible that by not wasting money on green technology we can have a nuclear powered Malaysia with plug in at home electric cars and flying-on-land Maglev trains getting us from Kuala Lumpur to any urban area in one hour or so?

Why didn’t you tell me all this before I installed my rooftop solar?

Global Warming: Earth Hour is a Total Farce

Are our youth being misled about global warming with events like Earth Hour?

This article was published in the Letters to the Editor section by the New Straits Times (NST) .

    3rd April 2009

    http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Friday/Letters/2521682/Article/index_html

AS the lights went out for Earth Hour on March 28, organised by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to protest against man-made global warming, our scientist family did exactly the opposite.

We switched on every single light in our energy-efficient bungalow in Bandar Baru Bangi. We held this mini festival of lights to say that mankind's increasing use of electricity has nothing to do with global warming.

My wife, a retired scientist, had been complaining all week about the unrelenting Earth Hour campaign on TV, radio and the newspapers.

She pointed out that it was mainly youth who are getting sucked into this campaign.

"This is immoral and an insult to everything we have achieved. I studied under oil lamps until I was 16. Electricity got us out of poverty and built Malaysia . It transformed society. If anyone messes up our electricity supply, it's back to oil lamps and padi farming.
"That's what our youth don't realise. But now the WWF is trying to convince youth to feel guilty about consuming electricity.

"Earth needs more and more electricity. That is how we measure our improving standard of living."

My objection to the Earth Hour campaign is also fundamental. Man-made global warming is simply not true; it is a man-made fraud.

Thirty-one thousand scientists so far, including me, have felt it necessary to protest against this fraud by publishing our names and qualifications in a properly conducted Internet poll.

There is nothing new or to fear about global warming. It is not caused by man's industrialisation, by over-development or "over-population".

Global warming is a perfectly natural phenomenon. Ten-thousand-year global warming periods followed by 100,000-year ice ages have occurred with some regularity for the last two million years and probably throughout much of the 4.5 billion years of life on Earth.

What causes climate change is the Earth's varying tilt and elliptical orbit around the sun and our solar system's long journey through the Milky Way, together with cosmic radiation from exploding stars. Most of this basic science has been known for 100 years.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is not an environmental poison but has been named by 10 generations of scientists as "the gas of life" which, by photosynthesis in green plants, gets converted to organic matter. The small additional carbon dioxide produced by industrial man is a bonus, not a threat to life.

Our rainforest climate is Earth's best example of the tremendous benefits of global warming and higher levels of CO2. Malaysia's constantly warm climate, high rainfall, abundant sunshine and high natural CO2 levels, caused by plentiful rotting vegetation, combine to produce the highest rate of biomass production in the world.

The kenaf tree in Malaysia can grow to five metres in four months. A new Malaysian grass plantation is producing sustainable one-metre cut grass for climate-housed cows every 30 days. This Malaysian invention, deep tropical agriculture, can transform food production and, with cheap desalinated water and electricity from new "inherently safe" fourth-generation nuclear power stations, can spread throughout the dry tropical regions of the world, even deserts.

Scientist now know in principle how to feed the population during the next ice age, which climatologists say will begin with a mini-ice age by 2050, within the lifespan of half of the world's population.

We must get back to the big science of my youth, like Atoms for Peace, the Green Revolution and the Man on the Moon mission. The very best investment from Malaysia's economic stimulus packages is a great increase in science and engineering scholarships at all levels for the best generation of youth in our history.

Malaysia's Role in Defying the Coming Ice Age
